Terms and Conditions
Services and agreed scope
We provide commercial cleaning services to business clients only, as set out in the written specification agreed for each site. Work outside that specification is not included.
Quotes
Quotes are based on the site survey and specification and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Pricing and payment terms
Prices are as stated in the agreed quote. Invoices are issued monthly in arrears and are payable within the period stated on the invoice.
Recurring contracts
Recurring services continue on the agreed schedule until terminated in line with these terms.
Minimum terms and notice
Recurring contracts are subject to the minimum term stated in the quote. After the minimum term, either party may end the contract by giving the written notice period stated in the quote.
Cancellation and termination
One-off visits cancelled with less than the notice stated in the quote may be charged. Either party may terminate immediately for material breach not remedied within 14 days of written notice.
Access, keys and security
The client will provide safe access at agreed times. Keys, fobs and alarm codes are held securely and returned on termination.
Client responsibilities
The client will provide water, electricity and a safe working environment, and tell us about any hazards on site.
Cleaning standards and rectification
If a task in the specification is not completed to standard, the client should tell us within 24 hours and we will rectify it at no extra charge.
Additional work
Additional work requested by the client will be quoted separately and carried out once agreed in writing.
Materials and equipment
Responsibility for supplying materials, equipment and consumables is set out in the specification.
Staff and subcontractors
We are responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling and supervising our staff. We may use vetted subcontractors and remain responsible for their work.
Health and safety
We carry out work in line with applicable health and safety law and our own risk assessments and method statements.
Damage and liability
Damage must be reported within 48 hours. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law and to the limits of our insurance. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Insurance
We hold public liability insurance of £5m and employer's liability insurance.
Confidentiality
Each party will keep confidential any information about the other's business it receives in connection with the services.
Data protection
Each party will comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 in relation to personal data processed under the contract.
Complaints
Complaints should be sent to info@jchgroup.co.uk. We will acknowledge within two working days and aim to resolve within ten.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
